    How do you prevent audio dropouts in Cakewalk Sonar Platinum? What driver is the best?

    (Btw, I'm not referring to the new bandlab version.)

    Any help will be appreciated. Thank you! :yes:

    I don't know about any specific features in Sonar Platinum, but on principle:
    - faster HD (use SSD instead)
    - better soundcard
    - higher buffer settings
    - get rid of all real-time processes that are running in the background and are not needed for audio production
    - do "MIDI-production" without fx, export audiofiles and mix with fx.

    But keep in mind, no matter how fast or good your system is, if you overload it, every system will eventually cause dropouts.
