Hey every body

well, i know that this have been posted a lot of times lately, but let me explain this,

I have 2 Computers, one the Laptop, the main computer for composing and arranging,(i'll be upgrading to a Desktop as soon as possible),2 a Desktop Computer that is Running Mavericks 10.9.2 perfectly, stable fast and it's worth the time i spend on it.

anyway, i work all the time with Kontakt libraries, i've been using this basic method, i export the midi files, i load it into some daw on mac ( Logic usually ) i put the same BPM, try to cancel all sort of FX even on Kontakt it self, export load it into FL on the main Computer, my problem is i have my Externe Hard drive, but it is full of Samples, and the main Kontakt soundbanks that i frequently use.

My questions are the following,

is there a way to Synchronize 2 the 2 Computers? or even loading Kontakt Libraries from LAN,

What is the best way to work with 2 Computer for Audio Production.

PS : i'm using M-Audio Mobilepre as an Audio interface.

I work with two computers. One is a laptop and the other one is a desktop. Both computers are connected to QNAP NAS.

I could run the kontakt libraries from the NAS, but it would take a long time. So this is what I do: I install the kontakt libraries on both computers. Then I record on the laptop (I usually record drums there). I use either Cubase or Reaper. I save the Cubase or Reaper file on the network. I then open that file on the big computer and I continue work there.

Works like a charm. If you can afford a small 2-bay NAS, it would solve a lot of problems, while also having a large -backed up- depository for your big files.

Thank you for your reply, but i did already solve my problem buy purchasing an external drive case, it works pretty nice, it is taking more power, but it works, having now 2 External Hard drives, one i bought, Seagate Backup Plus+ 2.5 and the one i made 3.5 !
