How do you mix a white noise sweep? Any EQ settings recommendations, Is compressor needed? , Any reverb settings recommendations also what type of reverb to use?

 

Automate a band pass (BP) filter - for the sweep. Best to do it inside of a synth, with a synced to tempo envelope. Because:
- additionally you can mix the wet knob of a reverb with the same envelope
- or you can mix a delay
- compression is needed depending on the context: if you don’t hear the entire sweep, compress it.

 

Remove all frequencies you don't need. This can be easily done up to 1k (or even higher), especially when the sweep plays together with everything else (for a hype effect or smooth transition). In a break it's no problem to leave some more low mids.
Compressor isn't necessary, only for sidechaining (if you don't have something like Volumeshaper).
A big reverb works best to add depth (a hall in ValhallaRoom for example).
Besides delay, adding something like a flanger/chorus - not completely wet of course (50/50 or 40/60) - results in a more interesting and wider sound so it sits better in the mix.

 

As said, bandpass sweep (any filter or EQ), reverb and maybe ducking (in that order).
No compression needed, as noise is static in volume. A better trick is to add an EQ last to control the frequency response (where you also can attenuate the piercing, annoying and in-needed frequencies).
