Do I use channel volume in the step sequencer (even though there’s no dB meter) or should I always use faders?

I see master classes where people Lorem Ipsum Temp Mail 10 Minute Mail only change the faders ever so slightly near 0db but wouldn’t that make your master track clip past 0db when all those sounds that are close to 0db are summed?

The knobs from the channel racks (in the step sequencer) are really useful for gain staging, -> for getting most out of the sounds before using the mixer faders to put everything together.

Not necessarily! Depends on how much more sounds are added at the same time!!
What happens to the Master Channels in those tutorials? Do they clip?
Some might put the Master Fader down to prevent clipping at the end. Depends on workflow. Makes sense to learn a workflow that feels natural to you and gives you the most pleasing results.

Another thing is, all FL Meters only show peak levels and can give you a wrong impression on loudness. You can set up the Wave Candy to RMS Meter though, to get a better overview.
