I was wondering... If you block your internet connection, how a plug-in working on off-line mode would know if the 30 day trial period had expired or not? Couldn't you manipulate your PC's internal clock and trick it into thinking you hasn't reached 30 days yet, even months after the expiration date? Even if you had to mess with HWID and stuff, it would be worth it for things like the Acwua plug-ins.

    How could this be done?

This seems very plausible, I think.

Firstly, you'd have to set your PC's date every 29 days back, to fake that the period hasn't expired. This will earn you an error message as soon as you go online, because the pages' dates seem to be in the future.

Secondly, even if you do this, you can't cheat every pluggie this way (there seems to be some kind of internal counter, but I'm not sure how this is done).

    Yup.
An overkill solution would be restoring the whole system from a ghost image.
