How to make this sound? Bomberman 64 OST

    the crazy weird sound at 0:18
    sounds like sound mangled orchestral stabs maybe?

    It's an orchestral hit.



    90's PCM synths like the E-mu Proteus series were used a great deal to compose for the Nintendo 64. :wink:

    I would have said look at soundchip emulators but thats an interesting video Majestic,

    Even if they say Bruno Mars is the king of nostalgia then they show him singing and boyband dancing.. *shudder

    i know that video, tried to compare the fairlight sample with my OST and it didnt seem to match (?) altough its sound mangled a fair bit, transposed up, played as an instrument with varying pitch and short release etc.
    gonna dig trough that e-mu library now thanks everyone :wink:
