I was wondering if anyone knows how to recreate this arp transition sound I keep hearing being used in so many soulful hip hop beats, especially those from DJ Pain1. I've been trying to find YT tutorials online using words like (cascading arp fx, soulful arp transition, r&b arp riser, etc) but all recreate EDM sounds and not this lush blend I hear being used. I'm not sure if this was a preset from a vst or recording from hardware. I've tried making my own arp run patterns and using lots or reverb, delay, and automated freq filtering but have been able to successfully recreate that sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated (YT tutorials, plug-ins used, fx and settings, etc).

I feel your pain. I’ve Been trying to figure out how to make this sound for the last three weeks. Have you figured it out?

 

this. pretty much exactly. tweak the sequencer to the notes you want, adjust the timing and fx as needed. Hive is a great synth!

This helped me as well and more my speed. I was able to create presets to get to this sound quickly. It's also about playing/programing the right notes as well. An yes....you're right. HIVE is great. Dope sounds but a lot of parameters to figure out. I'll tinker with HIVE and master the technique on the VSTI too. Hopefully this helps someone too.
