Hello guys, im trying to figure out how to make a pad similar to the one in this song,

maybe using crystalizer on any reverse pad? Cant even get close to it, could you please help me out?? thanks so much in advance

 

I think you are on the right track with the reversing. But the little tidbits that you think are caused by crystallizer, I think sound more like granular synthesis. Sample a nice pad tone with some movement and interesting character and then either reverse it and run it through a granular sampler, or run it through the sampler first and then reverse that. Granular synthesis can add all of those little sparklies when you stretch something out and modulate the individual granules.

This is all just guessing, but experimenting is half of the fun, right? Don't get too caught up in reproducing it exactly. Because in the end, it's what you do with it that really matters.
