@ Marc,

It sounds like a percussive sound but played backwards (reverse). I write 'percussive sound' because maybe isn't even a 'snare' sound... even if it still sounds very similar to a snare sound.
You should to try to play backwards (reverse) some of the percussive samples (mainly snares and similar ones) that you own among your Collections, Libraries,... to listen and see if one of them can match more or less this one.
It's also certainly processed with some effects,...

Another trick to do is to simply play backwards (reverse) this 'snare' sound as is (in case you can isolate it of the others sounds), this way you may perhaps recognize more easily which exact kind of sound is used (in case it's really a reversed treatment).

Some Reverb Units (either Hardware, or Software) have among their Presets, some 'Reverse' Presets or similar, you can also check this option too...

This is just a typical "80's gated reverb", but even more wet than usual.
You could also try to add a typical reverb to a snare and then time-stretch it, and then fade it/amplitude envelope it to your taste.

 

What does that even mean?

 

Really heavy compression followed by gate ending with small plate reverb.
