I am lucky enough to have my tuition costs in college include Pro Tools Studio.

However, it refuses to work in my Windows PC. It's legit, yet it somehow bugs out, errors out and crashes constatly. I am unable to do anything in it.

The same, legit version works fine on everyone else's MAC. So why is this thing refusing to run properly on Windows? Searching this online yielded no results. I sure hope I'm not the only person on Earth trying to run Pro Tools on a PC!

You should provide more details: Specific error messages, your specific computer setup (brand/model/specs), and any other relevant information like unique system configurations (antivirus programs, etc.)

Pro Tools can work fine on Windows 10, so something more is at play.

So is this version you're using a "educational" version that does/doesn't require an ilok, and designed to run on windows (not apple)? What sort of errors are you getting exactly? Are they system OS/hardware errors or operational types that protools itself is throwing out? Running protools 12.5 HD (not legit) here on win10 21h2 no problems at all...So it does work...

Yeah, list what sound card, video card, memory etc. you are using. PT can be finicky with the wrong hardware. Works fine on Windows 10.

if you dont have any kinda AudioInterface, you'd better install 'Asio4All'. Pro Tools 2023.4~6 works fine without Interfaces. (PT supports regular windows sound system from that version). and If you have a MAC keyborad, use 'Keytweak' on windows. you can use PT as same as Mac. (Switch only Control <-> Win Key ,(stay 'alt')
    Asio4all : https://asio4all.org/

I used to do this for 12.5 AudioUtopia version but as @JayAKiiMAnia said: install Asio4all and have it available on the "Playback Engine" view.
Then go to Device Manager and disable all useless I/O irrelevant to your audio interface you will use primarly for PT (exclude Asio4all though).
Also install latest redistribuable C++ libraries IMO

It did the trick for me back then
