Because of a comment in sister site, I realized that not everyone knows this trick and if you have a lot of presets it can be very useful.

This is a trick to solve loading time, it works for FM8 too:

    1. Open FM8 or Massive, in stand-alone mode

    2. Go to File>Options> Browser

    3. At bottom of Browser options, you will see a drop-down with a label above it called
"Database Hit-Count Display". Change the option to "None".

    Et voilĂ , superfast load.

I have lots of presets, which are on a HDD 7200rpmn,and they load very fast.I have never had this problem,I don't know why some have that.

  4. That actually works! Thanks Oly.

I guess it depends how many thousands of preset libraries you've acquired as to how useful it is.

I have around 90000 presets for Massive.I don't think a lot of people have more than that.

At least on Massive do what @Olymoon recommende plus this:this will prevent it from crashing or from trying to read all the presets.

    1. Go to C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Massive and delete NIMassiveDatabaase2_ul
    2. Start Massive stand alone and close it right away.(you can make a .rar or zip file before deleting it)
    3. Go back to C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Massive and right click on the new NIMassiveDatabaase2_ul (it should be around 56Kb)
    4. On Properties go to "Read only" and check it.

This will prevent it from crashing or from trying to read all the presets. Et voila! Supersonic load.
