How To Make FL Studio 11.1.1 (64 Bit) Reach To More Ram

MY OS IS WINDOWS 7 64 BIT & When I Did INSTALL FL STUDIO 11.1

I NOTICE THAT

FL STUDIO 32 BIT IS 4 GB RAM
FL STUDIO 64 BIT IS ONLY 2GB

BY THE WAY I HAVE Intel® Core™ i7-4500U - 16 GB RAM

THE QUESTION IS : IS THERE ANY OPTION THAT LET YOU GIVE THE FL STUDIO THE POSSIBILITY TO REACH TO MORE RAM TO WORK WITH

 

i have 3 version of FL (like everybody i think)

-FL up to to 2 GB RAM
-FL extended up to 4 GB
-FL 64 bit up to X (where x is the pc ram reduced by 1.5 GB for the system)

Check your installation

 

make sure you run the "FL64.exe" file in the FL folder. What does the Memory Usage Meter in the Memory Panel display when you load an empty project and switch the display to 'Show available'?
I would suggest to take a look at [FL Studio CPU & Memory Panel]
and maybe a bit less caps might help :dancing:

FL 64 doesnt show the "amount available" as for current ram technology it might as well be infinite. what youre seeing is the amount used.

Unless youre getting crashes or lack of memory errors dont worry about it.

In 32 bit, each process is limited to 4gb, so if you run things like kontakt in bridged mode it will run as a process outside of FL and therefore can have another 4gb of its own.

 

Are you sure to run FL 64 bit? maybe you are running the 32 bit version... see task manager

 

have you tried a fresh installation? Run as Administrator?

MYCbeats answer is spot on. FL64 only shows the amount of USED RAM. unless you're having problems loading your projects, chillax.

 

@Mr_Amine When the daw reach is limit the programm crash, Is your FL64 crashing when reached 2 gb?

i didn't use 64 bit yet ?i was opening 32bit plugins in FL32BIT
but since ALL PLUGINS NOW IN 64BIT i start using FL64BIT & Before that I NOTICE that FL64 IS 2GB
I WONDER IF I REACH 2GB , IS FL64 WILL GIVE ME ABILITY TO 4GB Without Using Bridged To Save Memory

 

yes with FL64 you can use more than 4 GB, FL64 needs to bridge 32bit plugins in order to use them. Bridge or not bridge (fl32 bit case) doesn't make any difference in term of ram used.
