    sound like various layered distortions of a square wave imo, but, @Baxter will know for sure.

    Most can be done with sawLFO (or any shape really) routed to a lowpass filter envelope (to create a so-called "wub"). Then you modulate/automate the LFO rate, synced or non-synced.
    You can apply distorton (or multi-band distortion), but there isn't any (or very little) in the OP video.

    Then you can get a bit more experimental and work in wavetable synths, like Massive or Serum, where you can add different LFOs to control wave-shaping/scanning. These synths also has a few interesting filters to choose from, which also can shape the final sound alot.
    A single LFO can control both the filter cutoff and the wavetable scanning.
