I've been noticing on facebook live the DJS putting up some cool videos of their music with awesome Captions going over the lyrics. How do you do this?

I have a vid I want to edit , so I need a jump start as well

 

Nice, yeah he helped me out with something earlier. I use final cut pro so it's just a matter of timing the words using the title feature

I've been kinda wondering about a similar thing recently. Anyone know how to overlay a visualiser like this over a video?

 

You can do the same in After Effects

Play the video on an old CRT monitor, write the captions on cardboard and change them with your hand while recording with a video camera?

Or you could teach your cat or a dog to change them. Or an alligator for that matter. That could possibly create some interest.
