I launched OC on the desktop and it doesn't make any sound itself. I checked every tab, but there is no option for it. What I noticed is that there was a red button with the letter MIDI PANIC. I guess it is related with the sound issue.
Does anybody have an idea about it?

 

• Make sure Orb Composer sends Midi Data (with the midi Indicator – see documentation)
• Make sure the orb ports, orb 0 up to orb 20 are activated in the DAW.
• Check that you don’t have 2 DAWs opened at the same time, this won’t allow use of the necessary ports otherwise.
• Don’t forget to press the record button for each track of the DAW, it’s usually needed to receive the Midi.

Does it make a sound with stand-alone mode?

 

No, it only sends midi signals, you must have a Kontakt 6 sampler or some other one, and orchestral libraries.

 

Oh, it is different what they advertised. They say "Without DAW or with DAW".

 

How did you open OC with Kontakt? I tried to open it at C:\Program Files\Hexachords, but there was nothing to open.

 

Orb Composer has a built-in Piano and Drum Set. You can replace those with any VST instrument within the standalone program, or use it as a trigger for any other DAW. The Hexachords website has several tutorials on how to use it.

 

As you can see the screenshot, there is not option to choose the VST or something.

 

You’re looking in the wrong place. Click on the instrument name in the “timeline” area. Instead of the Instrument preferences window, you’ll see Plugin Mapping Settings.

 

I tried it, but it only showed me "Delete Instrument" and nothing else. Could you show me it with a screenshot, please?
