    Hi AudioSex Fam,

im remaking an Club Rnb Instrumental from 2004. I managed to get any other sound close but i stuck on an specific Instrument that i can't get close to (It's the one which is coming in from 1:00 until 1:03 and repeats in the Song.

Houston Ft. Chingy, I-20, & Nate Dogg - I Like That (Extended Instrumental)

If someone knows how to get close to the Sound or knows a preset sounding similar would be very cool to let me know.:mates:

Many of them were the CMI or the DX7. Another source for them is the Korg M1, for later songs. Also D-50.

This guy seems to have them all in one spot, aside from the museum piece:

The Ensoniq Mirage had a few hits in its library including a really gorgeous ethereal one lifted (I always believed) from Holst...

There were a number of them that were from Emax and Emax2 disks, and the Kurzweils, also. Most usage of them is a little later on, like late 80's to early 90's.

I just found an "academic paper" called "The Story of ORCH5" about the Fairlight CMI sample. https://www.academia.edu/241422/The_Story_of_ORCH5 18 page pdf about it. The Ensoniq Mirage is noted as the source for the one in Strings of Life.
