I'm trying to get similar mix sounds in ableton like in fl-studio but I can't. I mean that distorted 808 sound in trap beats. I made one beat in fl where i got this distorted 808 with fruity limiter and fruity compressor, but I don't know how to make this in ableton. I was trying every method with stock plugins and other like kHs limiter etc.Are there any chance to get similar mix like in fl-studio? Can I use fl stock plugins in ableton somehow? AND I would be so happy if someone could send me good 808 samples for this.

You could open Fl Studio as VST on a track directly in Ableton, if that suits your workflow.

there a couple of saturation things that FL introduced with its stock plugins that have been hard to reproduce even for the best sound engineers of the world (quote Jaycen Joshua)

anyhow, many people got very close results but not using limiters and compressors,
you HAVE to use CLIPPERS with SOFT saturation behaviour

I dont really know if Ableton has its own stock SOFT CLIPPER, but you can find free clippers plugins, there are many and very good as well

Google (and KvR) is your friend (I also think that someone will help you about finding some)

anyhow remember: you need SOFT CLIPPERs first of all

Why do so many people prefer that Default Template in FL with that Limter on the Master?
You can do the same in any DAW, if you mix into a Limiter/Clipper straight from the beginning. Your Kicks or 808s will then also sound dominant, just like in that Type Beat you linked.

 

Why are you trying to use Ableton in the first place? Why not just stick to FL when it's easier/sounds better to you?
