I bought a used Surface Book over a year ago and have been using it fine, but its come to reformat it. The problem is that it came with an expired/deactivated Windows 10 Enterprise license. I have my old Home Edition key from the machine I was using before this, but the media creation tool refuses to work (I assume because I'm running on a deactivated Enterprise key) so I can't get a clean ISO. I downloaded the Windows Insider ISO, but it didn't specify which version it was installing so I was wary of wiping everything just yet. Could anyone shine some light on what the **** is happening? I'd really like to avoid getting an ISO off a third party website... https://phoneringtones.info/

^^THIS, but in order to truly access this page, a non-Windows OS needs to be used to browse the website for complete .ISO images, otherwise it redirects to .ISO creation tool, it's a nasty Microsoft trickery

Oh, ok. Then you could also change your browser's User Agent. There are many different plugins for Firefox or Chrome...

Get a free digital license of Windows 10 Pro, follow these steps:

    1. Download and install a retail version of Windows 7 Pro:
    http://download.microsoft.com/downl...r_escrow_CLIENT_PROFESSIONAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso

    2. Activate it with:
**** links to warez are not allowed here ****

    3. Use the media creation tool to upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro (using the upgrade this pc option):
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You will get a digital license, every time you reinstall Windows 10 Pro it will automatically activate when you connect to the internet. Digital licenses are associated with your hardware, if you make changes to the hardware (get a new pc, change the motherboard) you can link the licence to a microsoft account and transfer it to the new one.

More details here, under the activate using a digital license section:
