    Hello!

At the moment, I am reorganizing my Kontakt libraries. I have a bunch of libraries in my folder that don't have nicnt-files, thus they do not show up inside Kontakt's "Libraries" tab. Incidentally, rarely do I use these libraries because workflow-wise, often times it's too much of a hassle for me to navigate to the folder structure inside Kontakt in order for me to open them.

But maybe, I am doing something wrong? Perhaps, there is an easier way to use them?

How do you deal with such libraries? Is there a good way to include them in the "Libraries"-tab inside Kontakt or another proven way to use them?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Generic descriptions doesn't help. Provide details including mac or peecee whatever. (I can help for Mac side only)

While they could be improved a lot, I use the Quick-jump and Quick-load to navigate instruments. It's fast enough for my purposes.

Perhaps, you could try one of the NICNT creator tools, but as I personally don't use them so I can't advise further, sorry.

Try using Kontakt portable. You won't need anything It will register as a library, only with a black screen in libraries tab. Try using a custom image for that. The only limitation will be, it's isn't NKS keyboard compatible

Well organized Quickload is faster than scrolling through a long list of wallpapers in the Library tab. I also have bookmarks to folders set up in the kontakt file browser that speeds up manually browsing for non-encrypted libraries. Track presets can also help, even just getting to know your collection better goes a long way in efficiently managing your resources.

I'm on PC. For non nicnt libraries I start by making my own wallpaper, using a 522x98 pixel .png template in photoshop. I then just use KPT Library Manager to add the library to Kontakt using it's 'Add Selected Folder' button.
Just remember to make sure your .png wallpaper is in the folder and called wallpaper.png.
I use photoshop because some of the online images you may want to use in your wallpaper could be .webp picture files. Photoshop will save your completed wallpaper as a .png.
I know there are .nicnt file makers available on line too but I stick to my own method!
Also remember if the non nicnt library has Snapshots contained you'll need to make sure they are in the right place for the library to see them. Load up your newly created item from the library, click on the 'spanner' icon (top left) then click 'Instrument Options' then 'Snapshot'. Click 'Show' to see the snapshot saving location it probably ask if you want to create the folder. Click yes and paste the snapshots in the folder that opens.

still using Mac 6.8, so I just get a wallpaper and create ncint file using KLU. Sometimes I will look in the wallpaper thread, and then go find the library to match the wallpaper. If something is not in my libraries tab, i'm going to use it way less.

You can make .nicnt files with tracer's tool. Do a search on sisite for "nicnt". There was a new one just released a little bit ago (v2.1). You can get pre-made wallpaper for the library(s) so it/they show(s) up correctly in the Kontakt browser from a search of a (long) thread on this forum. Not a total guarantee that the wallpaper for your lib(s) will be posted there but there's a good chance it is - there's a ton of them. If not, there are references in that thread that will give proper dim's on making your own wallpaper file which is pretty easy using your favorite photo editor.

Once you have a proper .nicnt and a wallpaper.png you should be able to add the lib(s) thru the add-library tool. Then they will look and load like any other lib you have added.
