Hi,
I have to de-activate hamburg-audio Nuklear v1.1.4 (R2R/Assign... who knows) to re-install it as the first time.
But I can't do it. Un-installing it is a waste of time and Win7 registry cleaning is useless. Why? Because it
seems like there is something that activate it automatically, whatever version I am going to install (v1.0.4 to
v1.1.4). I know it sounds incredible but... that is. I am going mad. Help me!!!

 

If you were on Mac I would've known what to tell you,
the thing that comes to my mind is:
Run again R2R activator with something like REVO uninstaller.
See what it change to system files and if and where it stores files.
Delete those. You should be ok.

 

Copylefter's advice should work, but if you wanna search folder by folder, try to look at "my documents" and C:\ProgramData or it may be something in your vst folder too. ProgramData is a hidden folder, you must change your visibility settings if you don't see it.

 

hmmm.... I downloaded a gate once that did some very similar things. I think there was something in the key gen number/code. I didn't have a clue. I ended up having to go back to reset my system image to a date before installation.

then look in the Sandbox to see where all the files go.
there should be a other copy in the same place on your pc out-side the sandbox,

sometimes do the ser is in your reg so have a look there as well look for hamburg-audio or Nuklear.

or it could be even cr@cked inside the .dll so you will find no reg or lic file,

 

another thought. Avast is free. Let it do a complete boot scan and see if it finds anything suspicious.

 

Yeah,
first of all thanks to copylefter and momo.I did it using Sandboxie and a little tool called SandboxieDiff (...its purpose is in the name). Anyway, SandboxieDiff shows the virtual changes of registry before and after crack (R2R) action. The VST's activation procedure needs three numbers: "computer ID", "instrument ID" and "activation key". There was a registry key "cnah" with three values... I renamed "cnah" in "cnah_my_backup" and the activation was gone.... so... I cracked a crack (or de-crack a crack...it sounds better in my head )...I think I deserve a bravo.

 

where was the registry entry located?

 

Here:
"\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software"

 

if theres a file named "uninstall.log" in the install folder, (name may be different)
open it with notepad, you should see all files and registry entries made when installation occured

No need for 3rd party software when you have a log ...

No *.log file, there are:

1 - *.dll (VST2)
2 - *.url (link)
3 - *.exe (uninstall)

nothing else (neither hidden files).
