    Hi everybody,

Love the sound of this bass.

With what VST instrument would it be possible to create it?

What a nonsense? Do not post AI shit before reading it.
What Eskei83 has to do with Wings song and Paul´s Hohner bass sound?

Paul McCartney still uses his iconic bass models today, with the Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass remaining the centerpiece. Here's an overview of the instruments he currently uses:

    Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass
Current Use: McCartney still regularly plays his 1963 Höfner Violin Bass with staple pickups.
Special Feature: The 1961 "Cavern" bass (stolen in 1972) was found in 2024 and is expected to be restored to working order after repairs.

Model Variants: Höfner continues to produce replicas such as the vintage '61 "Cavern" or 500/1 – however, McCartney himself primarily relies on his original instruments.

    Rickenbacker 4001S
Historical Role: The 1965 Rickenbacker 4001S was his primary bass during the Wings era (1970s).
Current Use: Although the focus is on the Höfner, McCartney occasionally uses the Rickenbacker for retro projects or special live performances.

Modern Versions: In 2001, Rickenbacker released the 4001c64, a replica of the Wings bass, which is no longer in production.

    Other Basses
Fender Jazz Bass: McCartney owns a 1966 Fender Jazz Bass in sunburst, which he used frequently in the 1970s.

Epiphone Rivoli: In 2021, he played an Epiphone Rivoli bass live for the first time.
Wal Mk II 5-String: This five-string was used for experimental studio recordings in the 1980s but is used less frequently today.

McCartney moved to a Rickenbacker 4001 in 1965, Wild Life was recorded in '71, so maybe the Scarbee Rickenbacker library? That's a 4003 model though.

Unclear what bass amp he used in the studio - Acoustic 360 on tour. I don't think it matters much, most low gain amps will get you in the ballpark. Maybe try a Fender Bassman plugin first.

Or actually - try the presets that come with whatever library you end up picking first.

Yeah the Scarbee is a little bit more of a big fat prog Rickenbacker, actually I'd go with the Black Bass 'cause Paul liked his flat wounds. But it's not picked, is it. You really need a pick for Paul

I too think a Rickenbacher emu will bring you close. Modo Bass has one. But other than him I think that an amp/cap matters quite a lot. Especially the cab.
