Im not talking about the drum and snare i got that down pat. And I'm not talking about the melodies. Im talking about the actual dubstep that dirty, nasty sound that makes you want to bang to that shit. The sounds that make you want to smack the fuck out yo mom for not taking the crust off the bread. That's the shit I'm talking about. How do you get those sounds, like how do you make those patterns?

 

Sounds like serum, cymatics and a lot of sequencing......

 

The trick is in the processing. Serum n izotope trash should get u there

 

Proceed by regularly changing your diapers and pajamas for the next 5-10 years... plus learn to tie your shoes by yourself... that will do it if you'll be persistent.

Do you just add a single note in the pattern and fiddle with the automation lanes or do some automation per note etc.
I find dubstep kinda hard for the moment..cause you gotta come up with the melody from these dirty electronic sounds..
I got used to a more organic sounding stuff

 

izotope breaktweaker or sugarbytes effectrix can do this kind of noise without much.

Serum/Massive: 6-10 patches and diagonal melody distribution over patches (one note on one patch). But this genre is so expired, unless you need to emulate something retro I see no use for it now days.
