Im not talking about the drum and snare i got that down pat. And I'm not talking about the melodies. Im talking about the actual dubstep that dirty, nasty sound that makes you want to bang to that shit. The sounds that make you want to smack the fuck out yo mom for not taking the crust off the bread. That's the shit I'm talking about. And if you're still confused the video will show what sounds i'm talking about specifically.
    it starts at 1:12

How do you get those sounds, like how do you make those patterns?

Proceed by regularly changing your diapers and pajamas for the next 5-10 years... plus learn to tie your shoes by yourself... that will do it if you'll be persistent.

I'm interested myself in this thread!)
Do you just add a single note in the pattern and fiddle with the automation lanes or do some automation per note etc.
I find dubstep kinda hard for the moment..cause you gotta come up with the melody from these dirty electronic sounds..
I got used to a more organic sounding stuff :)

didnt know dubstep is still a thing?

i think you can use all the same tricks like for all genres to authentic drums, there is ntohing specific for dubstep only.

that's a cool mix of trap and dubstep but, is dubstep still relevant in 2016?

Serum/Massive: 6-10 patches and diagonal melody distribution over patches (one note on one patch). But this genre is so expired, unless you need to emulate something retro I see no use for it now days.
