How to create polyphonic patches with VCV Rack and Cardinal [SOLVED]

    Hi guys,
    As the title says, how do you create polyphonic patches using VCV rack as a vst with Cardinal?

    Right click on a "Host MIDI" module, see "Polyphony channels", feel shame.

    At least that's how I did it.

    I got polyphony, but it sound completely out of tune, I'm using the default preset.

    Sigh. I've been delving into Cardinal lately. Sad but true, this whole CV routing thing still has me confused, so I cheat. I reverse engineer patches in AAS Multiphonics CV-1. What confuses me, usually, is the fact that different modulars use different names for the same ins and outs. That, and the fact some of them have abbreviations which I don't have a clue what they stand for. At least the positive in all this is none of them allow you to plug in a cable where it doesn't belong.

    Something might've glitched out. Cardinal is not yet perfectly stable. It didn't work the first time for me either.
    Try to reload your project/DAW/PC.

    Thank you for your advice, but it's not like every notes are out of tune, it's he notes between each other that are out of tune... So if I play a chord of 4 notes maybe 1 is in tune, the others 3 are not.

    The first time I enabled polyphony, only the first voice was active. So if I chose 16 polyphony channels with "Rotate" mode, only one key in 16 would've made any sound. And in other modes, I would not get any polyphony.
    Right now it works as intended, both new instances and old. I play a chord and it's all fine.
    If it's a default patch and you get this behaviour - it's a glitch. If it doesn't go away, it might be wise to report it on their GitHub page, mentioning the MIDI controller model you use, if any, and your DAW.

    OK, I'll do. I'using into repaer, and with an Arturia Keylab61

    Edit : one thing I just discovered, is that certain modules are not polyphonic, so if you have stated a polyphony of 8 , the mono modules plays one note each 8...

    example a filter, can be mono or poly, so in the search I had to specify Polyphonic filter to find one that works.
