I've got a couple libraries vith GUI and no "*.ncr" container, only "pictures" folder, that I have to copy in
C:/Users/... To avoid this I want to create ncr - what is the simplest way?
(libraries SoluviaSound REDD and Ilya Efimov Nylon guitar).

Load the instrument, sounds like your pictures in Kontakt default location (stupid way of doing it) probably from installer.
Open editor, load instrument, create a new resource folder in different location, can be anywhere, Don't overwrite original. Do it on desktop or something.
Once u have your resource container load your instruments from old library, save to new location, get them to read from new NKR and finally encode contents of resource container, ie pictures, text files IR samples into NKR. The delete what u don't need.
Something along those lines anyway lol.

    Good luck!

    The SoulviaSound/REDD library:
This library is delivered without .nkr container -
instead of this contain folder "pictures".
    I put this folder on:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4(or 5)\pictures.
Then load instrument. GUI is OK.
    Edit instrument
and enter to Instrument Options tab and below click
on the Resource Container - Create. Choose path and
K4/5 create .nkr and .nkc file.
But: after that jump a message on the display:

    Resource Container:

    Packed picture files: 0
    Packed script files: 0
    Packed IR-sample files: 0
    Packed .nka Data files: 0

The both files are too small and empty. Why?
    What I'm doing wrong?

Not familiar with that library but read that wavetable contain 35 sampled VCO, DCO, noise generators and analog tape hiss, altered later in Kontakt. VCO and DCO are sampled note by note and you can load each of the 35 sources in 9 different “OSC sources” structured by 3 in each of the 3 layers ( A, B, C)? A light version also. Either it reading the samples frow somewhere ie maybe they monoliths I don't know.

Make sure your text files are included or they won't be encoded into NKR ie every dial etc must have an accurate text file that describes number of animations, alpha channel etc (read KSP). No text file won't be encoded.

    make typical resource file structure

Scripts must be encoded in ANSI and placed in scripts folder or they won't be encoded
iR samples in the ir folder (don't need text file, wav format)
NKA for arrays and must be in data folder
and pictures must be in picture folder with appropriate text files either jpeg, png or sometimes tga.

If kontakt can't find what it need from the resource folder it looks by default in the factory folder which is where your pictures are i.e
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4(or 5)\pictures

Therefore load an instrument, save the instrument to a new location i.e desktop in a folder. Then you have a folder with your NKI and samples for patch make a resource container. Transfer the files from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4(or 5)\pictures to your desktop resource container, make sure everything in correct place and encode :)

Use a Resource Container to Store Kontakt Files

Look the tuto on ADSR. It's really great and easy. http://bit.ly/2dhYgPN
