There are no audio previews for older Kontakt libraries, so you have to create them yourself. My method:


Software:

Audacity (Freeware) - www.audacityteam.org

1. Create file list of „Instruments“ or „Multis“ (nki- and nkm-folders)

- Install Script „Folder List“

- Right-click on nki-folder

- Choose „Dateilisten erstellen“



- Done!





2. Create Preview-Sounds (ogg)

- Load „Kontakt“-Player and Audacity side by side

- Record Audio Parts – instrument by instrument (shortcut „R“ in Audacity)

- Audio Parts are numbered „1, 2, 3“ and so on






3. Save Preview-Sounds as separate files

- Mark beginning of Audio Parts with „Ctrl B“



- Click File -> Export -> Export Multiple

- Choose „Numbering after File name prefix“ -> Create



- Done! You now got numbered audio files …



4. Rename numbered files

- Start ReNamer and add rule (1) „User Input“ (2)

- Copy and paste your created „File List“ (3) und click „Add Rule“ (4)




- Drag and drop audio files to ReNamer




- Click „Rename“




- Done!
