Can anybody tell me how I can fully deinstall the older v5 Waves bundle to make place for a new one? On MAC snow leopard please...
Maybe also tell how you normally go about this, how do you fully uninstall plugins/programs? How does the folder structure of snow leopard work? Are there certain places where I should always look, like library/audio/plugins/components and 'application support' maps. Like which folder(s) do all these 'install receipts' go?

so simple put... what folders are the most important ones to look into when COMPLETELY deinstall software on mac?

Big thanks, this is one of the few problems I've had since changing to mac haha! Hope someone can help me out! *yes*

    1. Delete the Waves folder located at Mac HD > Applications.

    2. Delete the Waves Preferences folder located at Mac HD > Users > Your User > Library > Preferences.

    3. Delete any Waveshells from the following locations:

    Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Plug-Ins

    Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components

    Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > MAS

    Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > VST

    4. Empty Trash.

    That should help!

    Typical locations (Snow Leopard):
    Code:
    /Applications/
    /Library/Preferences/
    /Library/Receipts/
    /Library/Application Support/
    /Library/Audio/
    /private/var/db/receipts/

    ~/Documents/
    ~/Library/Audio/
    ~/Library/Application Support/
    ~/Library/Caches/
    ~/Library/Preferences/
    ~/Library/Receipts/
    ~/Library/Shared/
If you make the Finder active (click once on Desktop) you can hit cmd-shift-g
and then paste the above into the 'Go to folder' window. Please never throw away the complete folders,
just items you want to remove.

    well...you solved the problem already...

i just want to add this important folder to Feridan's schedule: User/Library/Saved Application State

The new Waves Bundle has even 4 folders installed there.

I remember for example troubles during the changeover from Kontakt 4 to Version 5, because of a folder being left there...
