    Hello!
I've been trying to install Pro Tools 12.3.1.88512 HD alongside Pro Tools 10.3.9 HD on Windows 7 x64 SP1.
I manage to get PT 12 going, but PT 10 stops working.
The only way I can make it work again is re-installing PT 10, at that point, PT 12 stops working.
Is there a procedure I should be following to do this correctly? I couldn't find any information on the Avid forums.
    Thanks in advance.

Am I allow to say it's not legit here? :D

No, it doesn't give me any warning at all.

It just install on its own Program Files folder (PT12 in x64).

Thanks, I found that too, but I'm on Windows.
There's something about PT 10.3.10 and PT 12 as well, but as the users in Avid's forum say, not supported doesn't mean something can't work.

What I couldn't find is any actual instructions on how to do it.
All I can assume is that it should be pretty straightforward.
There's people that claim they could do this, but... I can't :D

Someone else reported success with " PT10 wouldn't launch. So I re-ran killer bugs v5 (don't know if that was necessary) and trashed PT10 prefs. Now both PT10 and PT12 open."

I used to do this with my cracked hd 10.3.0 and my legit pt12. You need to do a silent install. By that i mean manually putting files where they need to be. It can be done. I will continue whenever i get back home because inforget the file structure of the installation folder....but it can be done

also plugins wont become a conflict. V10 uses 32 bit aax plugins and rtas. They reside in their own folder. V12 use only 64bit aax, which also reside in a seperate folder so there is no issue

Trashing the preferences and re-running the Killer Bugs patch worked like a charm! Thank you!

You should be able to do it, no problem, 10.3.10 and PT 12 are 'supported' according to Avid's site.

masterj, if you want to contribute your method just in case someone else runs into a similar issue, go right ahead.

Thanks so much, everyone! Now, to spend the rest of the day re-installing all my plugins :D

I couldnt get legit 10 to work with cracked 12 but I got the cracked 10 to by doing what was said above. You have to reinstall 12 if you did that before 10. So do ten...then crack...then do 12...then redo 10 crack and destroy prefs and all is good to go. If that makes no sense to any of you who have question, just ask and I'd be glad to walk you through. Thank you Team VR and Team AudioUTOPiA for everything with ProTools. Made my day/year. :D

Has anybody been able to get legit 10.3.10 HD to co-install with the Pro Tools 12.3.1.88512 HD release? Would really like to try it without doing a dual boot setup. TIA

I have both pt 10 and pt 12 installed on window 7.
first install pt10, then install pt12. not sure if it matter, both version are legit.

Hi, I found the PT12 installation had overwritten some files for PT10. I would suggest checking the PT10 program files folder for recently modified files if you have any problems! I was able to fix it by replacing those files from a backup.
