How to clean the Windows 10 crapware off your Windows 7 or 8.1 PC

"Many Windows 7 and 8.1 users, including those who don't intend to install Windows 10 any time soon, were hit by 8GB of crapware over the weekend (*)"

    Read more about it here

(*) The author has written this article because the last Tuesday Patch Day Microsoft has released a patch who forced the crapware download: believe me because I was stupid enough to keep the update turned on... :deep_facepalm:

It's quite easy to clean W10. Go to https://ubuntu-mate.org/ and download Ubuntu Mate ISO image. Then use Unetbootin from http://sourceforge.net/projects/unetbootin/ to make a bootable USB flash drive. Restart the computer and install Ubuntu Mate instead, and no worries about spyware and viruses. :headbang:  [And dual-boot lite and totally clean W7 for audio.]

As time goes by I'm getting more and more inclined to switch to Linux. (I mostly keep Win because it's convenient and for games/programs/workflows I've gotten used to over the years and probably don't work/exist on Linux. Plus, I have to spend ages learning it. But the likelihood of a work-PC and general-Linux seems all the more likely.)
    Upgrading or cleaning? :bleh:
