Hey there,

i am using Extreme Sample converter to auto sample, but this seems to work only well with VST2 x64 bridge via jbridge into ESC. I am on windows, i know MacOS has a good solution there, but for windows there seems to be none, which is uptodate and which also selts you export sf2 or other variants.

So far i have tried:
1. VST3 64 -*-> Patchwork 2.5.1 VST2 64 --> jbridge -**-> ESC

* patchwork eats only same bit versions.
** ESC supports only 32bit VST2

Looks like Rolands TR VST3 plugins can get any MIDI signals from the DAW/ESC and therefore you cant record anything. With the VST3 variantes of the Synths it just works.

2. VST2 64 --> jbridge --> ESC works just fine.

3a. MPC Beats supports on VST2 64, no VST3!

3b. VST3 64 --> Patchwork VST2 64bit --> MPC Beats, but should have the same problem, bcs Roland fucked up.

4. Any other ideas?

Thinks to try:

Samplit?

 

Other idea: Samplit v2 Free supports VSt64, so could use Polac VST3 shell, but its not seeing plugins right now.
Free version lets you sample 3octaves (you can move the 3 octaves around.)

@BEAT16 but it cant autosample a VST instrument. Its only a sampler.

 

The main problem is that none of these autosampler seem to support VST3 native. only vst2.

same problem, TRxxx plugins stay silent, guess its due to their multi channel routing?

Bliss demo works fine, if only Rolands plugins would work like they should ...

 

i will just manual sample it now and then edit with audio editor.

I have tried so much yet and everything kinda fails at some point ...

i tried the following:
Tr707 --> Metaplugin (works fine in ableton) ---> Samplit v2 demo
crashed or i cant get it to sample anything?
But i know in ableton it was reacting to midi messages.

TR707 --> Blisss, again nothing is sampled, since roland drum machines, seem to lock or the audio Outs are weird.

Other idea:
TR707 --> Metaplugin 32 --> ESC, well here ESC says - its not a valid VST plugin Maybe to many outputs? it has 32 mono outputs.

i gave up on polacs vst3 shell since it just doesnt generate any vst2 version of vst3 plugins, i have read the readme, googled, tried combinations.

And all due Steinberg forcing VST3 on everybody. For the most purposes VST2 just works fine.
Remember TR909 VST2 just works fine in PW and everywhere, but the same VST3 just doesnt work

 

probably, but by that i had sampled all Roland drum machines from the cloud.

for hardware and other softsynths ESC works fine.

Yes i heard about logic autosampler. To bad there is nothing good working for the windows side.

The price for Sample Robot is insane, also sampleit (has only vst2 support) with 140$$$, damn.

Well actual i wanted to create some samples of the Roland TR plugins (808,909 i can do, since they are still VST2!), but the newer ones TR606, TR707, TR727 do not work since they are VST3 only. If you want to create me some?

I want them in variants
- clean
- dirty (volume a bit driven to max)
- different decay variants ofc, sometimes one can create cool sounds out of the tails - decay parts of the hats for example.

I have tried Bliss, it was not working with Rolands VST3's, i tried everything for 2 hours ...

maybe in the future for other VST3 plugins.

Last version i found was 3.2.1, which doesnt have VST3 support and well i have never used Renoise, so learning curve would be very stiff to maybe in the end find not a way to autosample VST3 plugins.

 

Patchwork does not work with VST3 plugins by roland as i wrote above in the first starting post. i was not able to trigger MIDI from outside of patchwork with TR707 inside of patchwork.
