I have a folder that's 60 gig in size on my hard drive, now I would like to save it across several 4.7 DVDs can anyone offer any advice on how to do this, and the best fee software to do it. I currently have Ashampoo as writing software, but that can't handle splitting such a huge file. What I want is some kind of splitter that can slit the file, then save it to dvd, then reassemble it at some future date:).....help

I would use either an image backup program (I use Aomei Backupper) or the same WinRar in archive (no compression) mode.
Both of them have options to split to DVD-R size. I don't know about the free thing though.

Edited: If you want to burn directly to the DVDs I'm a bit outdated. What I tell you works for disk drives and then burning 'em to DVD.

WinRAR, you get to set size for parts (so can control the number of them for your60gig). :guru:
