how much would you personally be willing to pay as a membership fee for a non-profit startup internet radio station that actively supports young artists of all genres in their career? support in terms of listening range, networking, arranging label deals and performance opportunities, support in negotiations. and also projects with schools/kids, theatres etc etc as soon as the health and political situation allows it again.

the programme includes interviews, the artists' music and project contributions.

If the music comes with a certain quality (not production wise) maybe 10 bucks a month?
I guess this would be my barrier, more than that would need a deeper involvement I think (like knowing someone personally who benefits from such plattform).

wenn du das in verbindung mit twitch machst und regelmaessig und oft gutes content lieferst dann gibts auch mal leute die richtig heftig was droppen..
und mach bloss nich den fehler nur paypal anzubieten....paysafe card,uberweisung muss mit rein

Nah, we don't even start with kid stuff like twitch. Streams run on our own servers, 24/7, 50+ employees, etc.

 

twitch isnt only kids stuff a lot off cool ppl use it now...
i mentioned it cause its the platform these days...you will not get the traffic without and ppl there dropping money all the time
you will make more there then with patreon
its also to get the traffic rüber auf euern server und ihr muest ohnehin auch auf yt,fb usw present sein zum anfüttern
and i wouldnt do a fix amount of money...
and ppl must have opportunity to get full content for free to just get into your channel

imo a non-profit startup internet radio station that actively supports young artists of all genres should apply for local culture and regional development grants,

there are too many free accessible platforms to listen new music and bands,
people as users don't even have time to listen everything already,

listening range is best provided by social network platforms like facebook, streaming platforms like youtube,
arranging label deals are rather ridiculous when literally anyone can make music at home and spread wordlwide without any labels,
performance opportunities from my own experience are joke and fraud by design, bands literally never get paid anything,
projects with schools/kids are again matter of aforementioned grants

That is exactly the point. We want to change something ;)
Break up the old thick networks, bring genres together, bring people together, play music that is not only interesting for average joe, but also for technically interested musicians and avant-garde fans.

 

nope. we are working on it. still some negotiations going on. i can't say more at this point.

I'm simply interested in what people are willing to pay to support what they love.

From how you describe the idea, it could be everything and its opposite (a hazy project): you cannot ask people for money with these assumptions. Start the broadcast and demonstrate what you can do, when you have the respect of the listeners then you can step forward and propose a patreon

 

There is already lots of free content that does this.
Youtube channels, blogs, fb groups, twitch, spotify playlists. which are all also more interactive then radio.
And now you are talking about pirate bay?? What are you even on about.
