The press, TV, and radio are seduced by money and unconditionally implement the marketing/promotional company's directives. The main thing is high ratings for advertising and, consequently, increased revenue.

These days, it's also about click counts on the internet. In short, it's an industry with the goal of maximizing profits; the cultural benefit, at least for me, is zero. It started with boy bands, then Madonna, and now rappers who can't sing.

The artist is selected, developed, and sold as a brand.

We older folks grew up in the 80s and 90s with bands that could really play and had something to say.
Back then, you didn't need a big laser show, just a stage!

 

Didn't know co-ops, unions, and other member-controlled organizations were exclusively state ran. I also didn't see where I mentioned anything having to do with the government either lmao.

There’s that, and people have been brainwashed into believing that fighting for our collective rights within their means is wrong. Meanwhile, the beloved grifters and opportunists will fight against it for a check, and the wait and see people will just watch it all happen.
