I think it's pretty decent, the only thing I could think of that it isn't really competing with commercial tracks in terms of loudness.

but that depends where you aim it to be, I actually like how dynamic it is right now and would rate it 9/10 because no one is perfect.
    but its pretty darn close,

don't hesitate to elaborate us what hardware u used (mic? pre?)

First let me say, Nice track! Your track sounds great too. If you want a little advice I would ad just a small EQ boost in the 1.5 - 2 K range. Just a little in the mastering process. You may want to boost your level using more limiting, depending on what your uses are.

Your hard work shines on this track, shine on.

Yes, it needs proper mastering, right now its fatiguing for the ears at medium to higher volumes.
Nothing that can not be fixed though.
200-1khz is where i would look at first.
Subtracting too much in the first 200-1k(or 2k) region can give you the too narrow like compressed sound where ears have problems filtering that sound trough.
I would also look at the 5k region bring it down just a little bit and many other things.
When mixing do it at very low volumes when you get it to sound great there, slowly go up with the volume not on your mixbus or master out but on your hardware volume.
Meanwhile do little corrections because you will be experiencing some fatigue and you have to correct that.
Your mix has to sound non fatiguing in the lower and higher volumes.

Great tip. Ive been doing it backwards this whole time. Going loud first and then low. It makes sense the way you stated. Start low while your ears are still sensitive.

Your mixes will sound way better if you get a balanced and exciting mix at low volumes.
Everything sounds better when its loud, which can be deceiving.Your mix needs to translate well to low and high volumes.
If its sounds balanced, dynamic, energetic at low volumes then youre already better at the game than the majority of bedroom producers.

I usually mix (volume levels, automation) at a pretty low volume, but when I'm working on equalization, I've got to turn it up so I know if it's getting the right amount of beef.
