Hi all! I learned that Arturia's electric pianos come with a room simulator and would like opinions on that from reverb experts... (I'm a reverb noob!)

i often turn such reverbs off and use an external reverb, simply because it offers much more control over the reverb than with hte internal reverb.

i dont use Arturia plugins, so i cant comment on the actual reverb you are talking about.

Have to agree with ArticStorm on this one. Unless you want the overtones & acoustic environment artifacts present in most instrument libraries, you are better of using a well coded free or paid plug-in. One of my recent favorites is the Abletones RVRB usually on an FX Buss/Return.

This way you, have full control over the tonal character using ,as examples:
    • level into the space along size, position, M/S, etc..
    • EQ
    • compression
    • saturation
    • option to put other instruments in the same space
