So i wanna start offering mastering service on my website, and ive seen some other people do 'mastering samples' where clients would send them their mix and they will do a mastering sample.
How exactly does that work?
Do you master the whole thing and give a low res mp3?
Do you just master like 30 seconds of it? If so does the client choose which 30 seconds?
If you do this or know someone who does this, how high or low is the average convertion rate for doing that?(meaning clients will continue to work on the song with you) And is it worth offering that on my website?

Low res mp3 is a bad idea, it ruins the quality with which you want to impress your customer.

30secs is ok, but the client doesn't choose it. It mostly includes a part of the chorus.

Clients continue to work on the song? Shouldn't the song be finished before it comes to mastering?

You could offer your clients two subsequent improvements.

Is it worth offering on your website? Why not?
