i agree with its like with Zen, its 99% practice and 1% studying/reading.

I think doing these ear training for 3-4 weeks let me realize and understand more about music, than reading or watching a lot of books/tutorials.

And i think every human being has a different way thinking about music, the connected creativity, everything which comes with it and thats why it is right with thats the guys vision, etc

And i would go forward and say, that its even depending what genre you are working in, the basic principles, but the details are very different ever genre

I also agree with you. And the error is to oppose one approach to the other.
Both can be dosed at taste.

Nobody really knows but a large part of it must be the recognition of known patterns in a partly different context.

Yes and patterns and contexts could be contradictory using totally paradoxical and conflicting disciplines.

    :dunno:
There is a real difference between spewing out word salad and saying something that is actually coherent.
Sad that some people can't see that difference. It's like the cognitive equivalent of being tone deaf.

The insufficiency of our descriptive language in its present state

This always exists in description of music. Music is understood mentally, verbally and aurally. A complete understanding occurs when music can be well described, but none of our description tools is perfect now.

Your holy-grail quest for an upfront 'perfect' understanding of music (through a one-line description FFS) is not only a fools errand but an obvious psychological crutch to lean upon, to defer self-doubt and practical creative activity. Your 'problem' is that your musical mentality is altogether too self-consciously cerebral. Even if you finally, 'fully', understand the rules, music is like chess and you and 99.99999% of humanity will never come remotely close to mastering it. Indeed, i'm not even convinced that fully understanding is possible because part of the creative 'equation' itself is, by it's very nature, irrational.

Embrace imperfection, don't pre-conceive failure, hurl yourself at your muse and just lose (find?) yourself in the chaotic, harmonious delight of conjuring something that thrills you, right now.**

** 'cos you're so hooked on conceptiual cleverness, it might be an idea to get a bit drunk or something first so as to loosen your evidently uptight inhibitions...

Do you know if we knew the answer prior to 2000 years ago?
Like, we created the pyramids but just forgot why and how to do it again.
Or maybe the silence in answer to the question IS the answer?

    This is the notification.

Watch the movie Caveman (1981) starring Ringo Star and it will completely show you how music was created in the beginning, then after your next visit to the psychiatrist's office bring a few other fellow patients home with you and start a band just like in this film. Good luck take your meds regularly and stay safely away from sane people they are a bad influence.

And never will, music is and always ever will be, in short, ineffable.

We don't have tools to describe language completely either.

To top it off, to paraphrase Karl Popper: "A scientific theory is one that must be falsifiable."
