It is! On top of that you have to imagine a tiny, flickering goldfishbowl-like CRT and a very loud HDD.
Btw, I programmed a Juno 106 and a Akai sampler from a X-Base09 drum computer. Was I using a DAW without knowing it?
Don't bother, I find the way out myself.

This is fun, but if you're ever dealing with a bunch of computer nerds, here's how to start a fight:

Ask if SQL is pronounced 'sequel' or 'ess-cue-ell'. Never fails to work (though it's the latter, if you don't think so, burn in hell, heathen).

Daw, like door (British pronunciation: IPA dɔː). As in jackdaw, and Margery Daw.

btw Who had this brilliant idea to name DAWs Logic & Reason?
When two music producers talking they could not understand each other:
    - What are you recommend to use?
    - Logic
    - I have Reason
    - So you don't need Logic
    - I have no Reason to use Logic
    - So you have Reason or doesn't have?
    - I have a great Reason
    - If you claim that your DAW is better than my so why you ask?
    - What are you talking about?
    - What are YOU talking about? Are you trolling?

    LOL
