How do I update Cubase to newer version?

    Hello.

    I am trying to update Cubase from 12.0.10 to 12.0.50 and I am not sure how to proceed.

    So the question is, do I need to uninstall the older version before installing new one?
    If this is the case, do I need to back up VST files within C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins and copy them back in place after installing the new? Also is the new version going to detect the VSTs in Common Files folder?

    After installing the new Cubase, I just don't want to reinstall the whole FX and instrument VSTs to make Cubase recognise them.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    just simple uninstall previous version and install the new one.. All vst stuff, fx etc will be untouched.

    no need to unistall or whatever

    just go in the Steinberg app, download the update, then click on install

    it's literally 2 clicks, nothing more
