Hi everyone. Sorry to bother you with this question but hope you could offer some advice on how I can achieve this particular snare/kick sound using Toontrack EZX Metal Machine. I am trying to re-create this kind of snare impact heard in the following demos.










According to the post tags, the instrumental was made using only vst drums and guitars, with all demos made using Toontrack EZX Metal Machine drums. Hope you won't mind advising on how I could eq/compress the snare/kicks to have the same type of weight and thickness/snap/punch in the following examples.

Hey kornice, this is a very artificial sounding drum kit, therefore you have to go through a lot of processing. Agressive Eq/Comp, Parallel/Bus Comp, Reverb,.... Dont forget to layer snares/kicks, this will help a lot to get your desired thickness.
On the other hand there's a pretty easy way to get this sound; get some Chango Samples (Fop Kit for example) or Steven Slate stuff and fade them in with your Toontrack drums. Really layering is the key
