How Do I Get Vocals To Sound Like This Song?

    what can i do to get my vocals to sound like this? what plug ins and effects should i use to achieve close to the way these vocals sound? pls help! thank you!

    A good vocalist, good booth, large diaphragm condenser, pop filter, good preamp, good audio interface. Filter, EQ, saturation, compression, parallel compression, filtered and EQ's reverb (also with de-esser on the send before it hits the reverb). Abbey Road Reverb Trick on the reverb.
    Personally I think there is too much saturation/distortion on the vocals. Or at least there should be a different type or color on the saturation/distortion. Subjective ofc.

    Decent microphone, lowcut, saturation, gainrider and/or upward compression, reverb on uncompressed vocals with heavy lowcut and soft high freq roll off.

    Wise words my friend. If that is missing from the equation, the quality of the end result is not going to be near to the example's regardless of what gear you use, and processing techniques you apply to the vocal track.

    Mh, don't know, I think OP was talking about his/her own vocals, so even if he's right, I wouldn't call it wise.

    You have gotten 2 replies from the 2 people whose opinions in this field I would trust and respect more than anyone else's in this forum. What they have said is pretty similar. What you should do is record your vocals without any processing and post the file. Let us have a go at it.:like:

    If you are a good/great vocalist (if I got that right), stating which microphone -mic/preamp you use, would IMO be of great help if you only need mixing advice ..every great vocalist that I know, has a preference, practice and vocal compatibility with particular microphone(s)

    The absolute best way to achieve a quality vocal is to drink soap which will cleanse your vocal chords of any and all mucus thereby releasing your true voice.

    If you don't wish to go that route, listen to Baxter...he rolls consistent 7's and 11's
