I had the common issue of the keygen not working for Omnisphere and I didn't get help with it beyond that, so I think my best bet is to reinstall Omnisphere and install/update/patch DLL's in the correct way. But I should probably uninstall Omnisphere first.

So what's the best way to go around solving this? Should I use uninstaller programs that check registry for residual files? or what

Try Revo Uninstaller.

 

@Joshua D'souza Revo Uninstaller is NOT going to do it, even with its deep scan. I have explained on numerous threads how to completely delete everything related to Omnisphere/Keyscape. I will try to recap it because I get tired of writing the same thing over and over.
Before you start you must avail yourself of these 2 free programs:
1. https://www.jam-software.com/ultrasearch_free
2. https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/regscanner.html

Once you have those programs make sure that your STEAM and SAGE folders are protected from any type of deletions. Run Ultrasearch as Administrator using search terms Omnisphere/Keyscape/Trilian//RMX/Spectrasonics. Delete all results that are NOT in the STEAM or SAGE folders.
Next run Regscanner as Administrator using the search terms Omnisphere/Keyscape/Trilian/RMX/Spectrasonics. Use Regscanner options as shown below:



Delete all entries. Don't be afraid. Run it at least twice for each search term. Always as Administrator and do not worry abut a message stating "failed to delete"

 

I followed your instructions as closely as possible.

I did not delete files that I found using the "RMX" keyword, since they were from other programs I use such as Microsoft Office and Visual Studio.

I have one question: I still have the original 50GB omnisphere folder in my Downloads folder after following all your steps. Should I delete that too?

 

If you have the original download and have space available, keep it. It is always a good idea to have an extra copy of that Steam.
