How did they do this nice crispy texture?

    This is the Song I am talking about. Also the second track has also an interesting texture.
    My guess is that it's heavily distorted at some point and a lot of pan and maybe a fast gate.
    Every time I try to do it myself it's not quite the same. Maybe you know the secret sauce :D
