did some clean-up on the spider man 1967 original opening theme to extract the vocals for a remix.

I think it's useable but I don't how to remove all those gurgling high-pitched artifacts.

Does anyone know how how to do it?

A high cut (30dB/oct) at around 6 kHz works already wonders, while leaving the audio brilliant enough. It doesn't eliminate all the harmonics, but I guess you can mask the frequencies later in the mix.

 

A low pass filter and Soothe two. I think the thing will be that once this is in the mix you want to add some saturation to regenerate some of those higher frequency harmonics. Something like Slate Fresh Air.

Low Pass filter With Labfilter Pro-EQ3 5 or 6 KHz. You can also try Desser of iZotope Nectar 3.

 

After filtering out, a much better solution than any suggested above would be to use Thimeo Stereo Tool, the "Absolute Highs' module, where you can chose the starting frequency for harmonic synthesis (2nd harmonic only) as well as slope and gain. Then you should use SoundSpot Halcyon for odd harmonics (3rd, 5th) synthesis.

P.S. In the end you should do some EQ-ing, synthesized harmonics have usually a bit irregular curve.
