    Try Chromaphone 2 vsti by Applied Acoustics Systems.

    Pick the 1st Marimba preset from the instrument's library, turn on the chorus effect and tweak the hardness of the mallets parameters until it sounds good to your ears.

    The AAS Chromaphone overview on YouTube might help you to get started, or put you off entirely: :)

    Other than going down the Kontakt rabbit hole, I kinda like the sound of SWAM engine Flutes (x64 for PC). It's similar to Chromaphone in that it's a generative effect instead of actual audio samples of real world instruments.
