How can i enable the sustain in submission audio basses?

    There's a lot of videos in youtube about this basses and i can't find anything for how to enable the thing that makes repeated notes not being cutted

    in this video at 2:15 it shows the piano roll doing it fine but if i put that in my piano roll editor it sounds like crap:
