Some of the dumbest idiots program pro tools since avid took over,
    Their pricing is stupid,
The greedy marketing bs is stupid, they talk like politicians and you better have vaseline..
Avid (digidesign) daw known as pro tools was macromedia Pro Dekk/Deck II,
before this they where sound designer and session 8, defrauded the original programer with the fbi in return for support to replace the FBI nagra machines, since then the FBI had stocks-share investments with AVID, they are protected…its no wonder Lou Reed was complaining about buying their hardware in the 90s, they showed up with a dvd loaded with cracked plug ins in ways of thanking those who invested in their hardware, Mat Brown his sound eng used to give me dvds monthly…no secret..…So they have dominated the tax exempt educational privileges., pro tools does have accurate unison faders with highest res both sonically and graphically but they are also the biggest @55holes who fired hardware guys.

anyway, their packages suck even more @55., flex? Studio? No more pro tools free.
You Would think they improve the program before coming up with stupid prizes but no, they only fixed issues with users unable to update they avatars in the avid link app lol

But let me share an example of the stupidity…
When booting into pro tools studio or flex, it starts a plug in validation, What stupid moron programmed it to go through each plug-in if they’re going to Market subscriptions?, you would think someone had a brain and said that the plug-ins should just briefly be checked for compatibility automatically and then when the user opens one up THATS WHEN ILOK KICKS IN to verify if a user has a license, but no…instead pro tools wants to check every single license on start up.‍:woot: thats as backwards as you can get…slowing down boot time was the main reason big rooms who paid for plugs begged hackers to crack them.

anyone else want to unload on avid :guru:

Not only Deck. Also Avid stole everything at the OPCODE. From DAW - Opcode Studio Vision Pro.
But first, with the help of Gibson company, Avid bought the OPCODE to destroy it.

Thank god for small favors. The premise isn't necessarily even true. What destroyed Opcode Vision was really Digital Performer. around 2.5, who wasn't going to jump ship from Vision? seriously.

And then nearly simultaneously, Apple put out the Yosemite chassis, which rendered almost all Digi TDM farm users pissed off and done with Protools for good anyway. Or maybe you remember this situation differently than I do. OS9 days.

they are vultures. calling it a new scheme is a stretch. :)

Avid is a pestilent investment bank. Its acquisition of a company can be considered that company's death knell, as far as its value to creatives. Pro Tools will hang on for a while longer, but its market dominance as compared to the digidesign days is sadly laughable.
