HoRNet has released their AnalogStage MK2. This looks pretty interesting, and the best part, if you ever downloaded the *free* first version, it is only €3! Just got it after watching the review from White Sea Studio channel. I like things that can actually do Analoguey stuff well ITB without it costing an arm and a leg, and this seems to tick the boxes

Yep, got it four days ago for 3€ too, a steal. Haven't tried it in a complete mix but seems to be useful.

I'm curious to know what you think. I tested here and it's quite convincing, only downside imo is that if you use it with processed samples it can turn things overly saturated and smeared pretty quickly. It works best with non processed samples/VSTi.

They would do a random discount wheel whenever I opened their website but it's not happening anymore for some reason. It's cheap but... man, one of those would be good.

I literally went to buy it full price and forgot I'd had the original, so it was a nice surprise. Since HoRNet plugins are one of the best value manufacturers out there, its good value at full price. With the 20% code below I'd say just go for it if you've demo'd and like. €15 is a no brainer if its useful. There's not often a plugin that comes out any more where its got true use and isn't just another reverb, another compressor, that will just collect dust cos we're plugin hoarders

I think so too, lots to play with in just a few controls. With Nebula (mainly TimP), some nice PA, Softube etc emulations, and a decently powerful computer, I honestly don't think I will ever bother purchasing analogue gear. Save your €15k and get this for €15

 

1. Processed in the sense of already saturated and compressed? Yes, this could quickly lead to unwanted distortion when you add another saturation plugin. But this is normal.
2. In such cases keep the meter in the green (here yellow) zone, Link IO works pretty well here.
3. Also keep the saturation knob at 18dB, lowering it raises the harmonics' levels.
4. If you use it on kicks and/or basses you might need to compensate for a little lowcut which is always active, even if High Pass is off.

 

Nope, but its full price is only 20 bucks which isn't too much for a plugin - in general.
