Royal Blood anyone? Only two band members but the sounds are amazingly fully-rock! (One is the bassist, heavily distorted, also the vocalist. The other one plays the drum). And in case the hell is fully-rock if you ask me, then you got to check this out... (Also pay attention to the mix. Sounds so transparent. Perhaps, the most exciting new rock productions I have ever heard in a very long while.)

They are a band (Duo? Band? Who knows now?) that has a solid production behind them: Catchy phrases, pristine sound, nice video clip; they seem to tick all the boxes. Do I like them? Not initially, but that can grow on me. If I were in my teens, I'd be a fan, just like when I heard Green Day on the radio back in the day.

EDIT: I'll download their album to listen to it critically. Mix-wise it's an interesting work to learn from.

def nothing wrong with them they have good aspects there.
AND anyone can learn the tools to easily surpass ALL aspects of this band so positives all around.
they are built on cliches simple concepts simple use of word play ,simple song language,simple song structure, simple production and engineering
(i see nothing to complain about in any of that myself)
but the real amazing thing is that IF they are THAT mind blowing to YOU ,
you can easily match that and surpass that.(win win)
simplicity used right is great art.

 

Hehe.. never seen anything like this before. A two-man band, not just good on the print, but also when playing live. The riff alone was coming from the bass. That really sparks some creativity to explore.

Affirming this is just another undeniable proof that we live, nowadays, at the time of pour more and more of the same, at the time of the rain in the wet. Great sound equipment for a few unnecessary emotions (or lack of emotions).

 

Anyway, about the OP, I think they're kind of overproduced...Reminds me how overproduction fucked up with The Kings of Leon after fame...It sucked their souls out of them. Oh my, and those boys used to be good!

I bet these two guys used to sound much better before some imbecile producer decided to compromise their souls to make them look and sound "just a bit more" commercial.

I can see from a thousand miles when someone is trying to become something that they aren't...You just can't see the sparks in their eyes. In music, you hear the notes, but you don't feel the energy.

This is what happens when you sell your soul (speaking symbolically, obviously).
