Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this.

I downloaded Hofa's Iq-reverb from this site a while back but the crack didn't work properly and expired after 15 days and was asking me to activate. Recently I decided to buy it but I'm having a problem; when I install the plug-in from the Hofa Plug-ins manager it doesn't crate a Iq-reverb.vst file or a IQ-reverb.component file, so I can't use the plug in. It seems to me like it thinks they're already there do it doesn't bother, even though I removed the crack .vst and .component file. I've tried uninstalling and installing multiple times and used the 'repair' option in the plug-ins manager but they still won't appear. I'm pretty sure this is because of having the 'cracked' files a while back and now it's come back to haunt me.

Has anyone else ever had a problem like this and fixed it or maybe just know what it could be?

I suspect that you might have some hidden files on your HD, those get created when you launch a DEMO time for a trial-plugin. On a MAC those files are stored in the > Users/Library/Application Support <
They usually have names like this:
(Folder): .82F8T974E0ABE1E670861Q9F6230T3US
(File): .AhgreWdEEflTB

 

and in windows (7) check C:ProgramData and also C:Users/your name/AppData/Local

AppData is a hidden folder, you need to change folder view options (show hidden files/folders)

 

A new R2R release comes out today (2014.10.09). Give it a chance.
