The same scenario ... Music is going to be neutralized. Could anyone explain why?

the pop music sceane is shit to the point of it being corrupt. Has been for best part of 30 years now pretty much all female singers became famous from either fucking or sucking the producers so they can make them a single. Take britney spears for example. she only became famous for fucking a record producer.Or they have rich parents to begin with who go to some nobody who willingally ghost produce them someting in 10 seconds and then give them a shit ton of cash.
Look at cardi b shes untalanted as fuck but she is partial to anal sex.

We have to bid farewell to music. It started once, peaked and ended like the life of a star. Cheerio!:shalom:

  4. I mentioned in a previous post that a ground level resistance to the status quo in the form of the Punk movement as a push back against manufactured disco artists and dinosaur bands like Genesis in the mid to late 70's was a seismic shift in music. Beginning in Britain, it wasn't long before new wave bands like Talking Heads, The Ramones and Blondie were playing clubs like CBGB's and rejecting the Studio 54 scene.
This change didn't happen on a forum with people complaining about the music business. Musicians and performers made it happen by actually doing something.
You are like an onlooker watching somebody dying and rather than suggest a way to save that person are just standing saying "Oh well, cheerio, that's the end of him"
So either do something or stop whining. If you want a return to good old music, start making it!

Talking Heads, The Ramones and Blondie from USA!:)
you're right Lenny Belardo! there has been, there is and there always will be good music! there's no point in talking so much about the music produced by the industry, you can find interesting, funny, beautiful voices, beautiful productions, but there are so many beautiful things outside the industry that I'm going to stop following this thread to listen to MUSIC!

Ah, it's time for the monthly "everything was better in my day"/"get off my lawn" thread! Just add a smattering of pet political hobby horses and we're off to races!

Here's what I think: Hindsight is 20/20, we remember the "good stuff" (whatever that might be to someone) from the past, but not the disposable music.

I mean, we all remember the Beatles and the Beach Boys et al and regard them as classics, but who remembers "Hanky Panky" by Tommy James and the Shondells? The same way we only collectively remember the best stuff from the baroque era, but most of the things written then was pretty disposable music made for the people of the day to get their rocks off in their formal dances. It was, in effect, dance music of it's day.

Same could be said for medieval music, a lot of it was just simple hymns for people to pray to and not grandiose opuses.

I could go on and on here.

There's good music made all the time, I'd say concentrate on that and ignore the things you don't like. Helped with my blood pressure, you know?

I'm trying not to whine but
There aren't anymore, not inside not outside. If there were I would never open this thread and instead would enjoy them.

i remember 30 years ago it was still torture to have to listen to radio running on work but there came once in a while a good piece but today : :wtf:
and then come people and tell someting bout yesterdaywas all better syndrome , hell i hated it yesterday too dude but today is another level .
and come on list the great chart songs from last years you pump !

    ---
andfoster you talk from noting else than that stuff for years and yet you refuse to see the schematics and the owners of the industry .
chart music has its use and that is not art and not to bless human soul .

That's really your problem, not anybody else's. This is an ivory tower you built all for yourself.

Spot on. I've said that so many times that I don't anymore. Because I'm lazy. One of the biggest immutable Universe's truths.
You aren't. It's the whole purpose of this thread of yours

  16. In the words of Talking Heads....."Same as it ever was" allow me to quote Bowie aged only 23 at the time when he wrote Changes.

I watch the ripples change their size
    But never leave the stream
    Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
    Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through
